The Northwestern Pennsylvania Chapter includes 12 counties in northwestern Pennsylvania: Cameron, Clarion, Clearfield, Crawford, Elk, Erie, Forrest, Jefferson, McKean, Mercer, Venango, and Warren County. Our local chapter presently has 36 NWPA members who are Designated, Candidates, Practicing Affilates, and/or Affiliates of the Appraisal Institute.

The Appraisal Institute confers MAI Designated membership on commercial and general real estate appraisal professionals demonstrating the highest standards of education, expertise and ethics. In its continuing mission to elevate the real estate valuation profession, the Appraisal Institute specifies rigorous requirements for MAI Designated membership regarding experience, education and moral character. Brokers, bankers, lenders, buyers and sellers working with appraisers who are Appraisal Institute MAI Designated members know that Appraisal Institute MAI Designated members have demonstrated knowledge, experience and commitment to the profession, and agree to adhere to the organization’s strict code of professional ethics and standards of professional appraisal practice.
SRA Designation
The Appraisal Institute confers SRA Designated membership on residential real estate appraisal professionals demonstrating the highest standards of education, expertise and ethics.
